Tesamorelin Pen
GENERAL USAGE INSTRUCTIONS FOR A 60-CLICK DISPOSABLE INJECTION PEN
(15 clicks = 0.5 mg; 60 clicks maximum)
1. Check the Pen Before Use
- Confirm the pen has not expired.
- Ensure the solution appears as expected (e.g. clear, unless specified otherwise).
- Verify that the dose dial rotates smoothly.
2. Priming the Pen (Important. First Use Only)
- Remove the cap.
- Attach a new sterile needle.
- Dial 10 clicks.
- Hold the pen with the needle pointing upward and press until a droplet appears.
- Repeat if necessary to ensure the pen is properly primed.
3. Dialling the Dose
- Use the click mechanism to select the required dose.
- 6 clicks = 0.2mg
- 9 clicks = 0.3mg
- 12 clicks = 0.4mg
- 15 clicks = 0.5 mg
- Typical ranges may vary depending on context (e.g. 0.20–0.5 mg).
4. Injecting the Dose
- Choose an injection site (abdomen, thigh, or upper arm) and rotate sites regularly.
- Clean the area with an alcohol swab.
- Insert the needle at a 90° angle.
- Press and hold the button until the dial returns to zero.
- Wait approximately 10 seconds before removing the needle.
- Dispose of the needle safely in a sharps container.
5. After Injection
- Replace the pen cap.
- Store according to product-specific requirements.
- Do not share the pen.
- Discard when empty or after the recommended period following first use.
